Erotique Noire/Black Erotica, (edited) by Miriam Decosta-Willis, Reginald Martin, and Roseann P. Bell.
Where I learned vibrant, colorful, palpable ways to describe the erotic, and where I was introduced to what the erotic truly is: a creative force, a life force, a sensuality that only comes from the introduction between you and those unrestrained feelings of passion and indignation for what brings you joy and connects you to your truer self, your higher self. It’s your feeling, not your performance, and the ways in which the various authors conveyed this fact was astounding in most areas, breath-taking in others.
One of my favorites of 2020.
