More Than Organs, by Kay Ulanday Barrett.
I enjoyed this book so much.
Rarely do I buy poetry books from authors who I’m not very familiar with, but I’m also a sucker for a good title, so this one got me. I’m so glad it did. Not only is the prose moving, but the author is incredible, too.
Lots of melodic words about home, grief, love, and more, and all of it is centered around our marginalized communities of Brown, queer, transgender, non-binary, sick, disabled, incredible people.
