Raising Them Right: The Untold Story of America's Ultraconservative Youth Movement and Its Plot for Power, by Kyle Spencer.
I have fallen stupidly in love with journalistic writing. Kyle’s cadence and word choice and sentence rhythm and content placement made all things new in my mind, and this book was enjoyable to read because of it. Aside from salivating, I learned much about the far-right, alt-right, and conservative political movements, how they organize, how well-funded they are, and how even if their rolodex of beliefs are asinine to a sane mind, their knowledge and application of how to gain followers and traction are what keeps them with such a large and devoted base. This book would be a great choice for anyone even mildly invested in the future of American democracy.
