The Art of Loving, by Erich Fromm.

I remembered that I’d read this book while I was reading Communion by bell hooks. I must’ve read it nearly ten years ago now, but I recall learning the differences amongst the varied types of love and which of those types of loves I would move for and which types I would not. It’s a really good read if you’re looking for reasons.
