The Nickel Boys: A Novel, by Colson Whitehead.

Where I learned that Colson Whitehead writes so well that I spent the majority of the book thinking that it was both A) non-fiction, and B) a totally different ending for the main character than it was. A brilliant book and massively heartbreaking at times, but worth the read if you’re looking to feel something.
