You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty, by Akwaeke Emezi.
I loved this book. It is extremely well-written, and it is reflective — it’s incredibly easy to find yourself in one or more of the characters, in the dialogue, in the emotional descriptions, in the punctuation. It also gives you great material to manifest, and it makes you feel like you deserve your wildest, loveliest, most incredulous thoughts. Two things: you do deserve those thoughts, and you should definitely get lost in this book this summer.
