Bad Boys: Public Schools in the Making of Black Masculinity, by Ann Arnett Ferguson.

This book is extremely insightful. Much of its content may seem obvious, but there are pockets of realization where you’ll find yourself staying and laying and rereading over and over and over again. I’m grateful to have learned a bit more about school-aged boys, their motivations, proclivities, fears, and requirements, and I’ll be revisiting this book as often as I need to.
